The Sarawak State Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Communications will host the inaugural Asia Infrastructure 2011 - the International Infrastructure Development Exhibition & Conference to be held at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching, Malaysia from 5-7 July 2011. The Sarawak Government has allocated RM 3.4 billion for infrastructure projects to improve accessibility and connectivity throughout the State and covers air, sea and road transportation, communications, housing, electricity & water supply/sanitation and industrial zones. In addition, RM 24 billion has been invested in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy and another RM 70 billion worth of projects has been proposed.
