"According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) for the period 2010 to 2020, the region will need to invest $8 trillion (RM27.36 trillion) in overall national infrastructure. On average, Asia will need to invest around $750 billion (RM2,565 billion) per year during this period.

The Sarawak Government has made infrastructure as its key agenda in transforming its economy through the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) which will lead the way in the region with regard to infrastructure development."

"The Ministry of Infrastucture Development and Communications Sarawak is pleased to host the Asia Infrastructure 2011 - The International Infrastructure Development Exhibition and Conference at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching from 5 - 7 July 2011.

ASIA INFRASTRUCTURE 2011 which encompasses an Exhibition and Conference will be a major international event that bring together international and regional industry experts, senior government officers, contracts, banking and financial institutions, developers, planners, designers/architects, building and M&E consultants, and technology and service providers to promote cooperation and update on the latest issues and opportunities in infrastructure development.

I would like to encourage all industry players to take advantage of this unique event and participate actively in the Expo and Conference. I am confident that ASIA INFRASTRUCTURE 2011 will result in many fruitful partnerships and opportunities."

"The State has allocated RM3.4 billion infrastructure budget that will further improve accessibility and connectivity throughout the state. This will cover air, sea and road transportation, communications, housing, electricity, water supply and industrial zones. Central to this is the development of Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

ASIA INFRASTRUCTURE 2011 Exhibition and Conference will be the nexus for those in this sector to get updated on the latest developments, issues and trends. The exhibition will provide a showcase of the latest technologies and capabilities of both local and international players.
